Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me! We are so excited to attend the Children’s Gasparilla Parade this weekend in Tampa. It’s a family tradition for many residents in the Tampa Bay area. The best way to gear up for one of the biggest pirate celebrations in the country is wearing a costume. There are some people who really go all out by purchasing high-end costumes from local shops. However, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to create cool costumes for your little buccaneers. Check out these last minute DIY pirate costumes for Gasparilla.

You can keep it simple or get a little fancy with the costumes for preschoolers and older kids.
I had the opportunity to appear on the local news to show parents how to create these easy DIY pirate costumes for kids. I was able to create each outfit for under $10.
