Celebrate Freedom Day with the kids by creating this easy cotton ball Juneteenth flag painting. The Pan-African/ Black Liberation flag is red, black and green. It was created to give Black people around the world a symbol that unifies the Diaspora. The flag is commonly used to celebrate Juneteenth. You only need a few supplies to create this simple craft with kids.

I loved the way this Juneteenth flag painting turned out. It’s such a simple craft for the little ones and older children will enjoy making it too. This activity can get a little messy so place a plastic tablecloth or recycled newspaper on the table. I also keep wet wipes nearby because my toddler is not a fan of paint on his hands.
