Visit A Museum
There’s three cool museums dedicated to children in the Tampa Bay area: MOSI, Glazer Children’s Museum and Great Explorations. My kids always have a great time visiting the Glazer Children’s Museum. They have so much to do and kids will learn while having fun. Families will have a wonderful time exploring the interactive play areas. You can take a road trip to Lakeland to check out the new Florida Children’s Museum.

Check out Heights Public Market at Armature Works, Midtown Tampa or Sparkman Wharf. They are the popular indoor/outdoor food destinations for Tampa Bay area residents. You’ll find something for everyone including picky eaters. Stop by Parkesdale Farms in Plant City to try their world famous strawberry shortcake. They’re also known for their delicious strawberry milkshake. Check out The Getaway in St. Petersburg for a family-friendly experience. Visit Hyde Park Village or the Tampa Premium Outlets for a variety of food options for the kids. Take advantage of the time off during spring break to try something new.

Have a Wild Adventure
Visit Busch Gardens to experience a 30-minute guided Serengeti Safari Tour. You can also ride the train to view all of the animals. Visit the animals at ZooTampa at Lowry Park for spring break. Go on a 15-minute ride on the open-air safari vehicle for behind-the-scenes views of the animals. Stop by the Florida Aquarium to visit sharks, stingrays, barracudas, otters, alligators and snakes. Check out the Dolphin VR Experience at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Love farm animals? Get up close to cows, chickens and goats at Old McMicky’s Farm. Want to see life-sized dinosaurs?
