Supplies for Cardboard Acorn Craft

Directions

  1. First, use a Cricut or download the free acorn template.
  2. Next, cut out the template then trace on recycled cardboard.
  3. Use scissors to cut out the cardboard acorn.
  4. Have your child use safety scissors to cut different shades of brown pictures from magazines. Your child can also use their fingers to tear the pages.
  5. Finally, glue the dark brown pictures on the top part of the acorn then light brown for the bottom.

My 3 year old had so much fun gluing the magazine pieces on the acorn. We talked about the shape and color of his art project. We also worked on counting. You can make multiple acorns and create a garland or hang on your refrigerator door.
