The Best Tissue Paper Rainbow Craft for Kids

Your kids will enjoy making this tissue paper rainbow craft! It’s a great way to celebrate spring and keep the little ones busy for a long time. My boys turned crumpling the tissue paper into a competition and it made the process so much faster. Your kids can also work on color recognition, fine motor skills and counting. Supplies for Tissue Paper Rainbow Craft

Directions

  1. First, download and print the rainbow template on cardstock then cut. Use a pencil to trace the rainbow on recycled cardboard. Cut it out then set it aside. If you have a Cricut, find a rainbow template then cut the image.
  2. Next, have your child use safety scissors to cut the tissue paper into small pieces. If they are not ready for scissors, let them tear pieces of tissue paper for this craft.
  3. Finally, crumple the tissue paper into small balls then glue onto the cardboard rainbow until it’s completely covered. See images below.
