This spring art project is fun for preschoolers, kindergartners and older kids. You can make a few flowers to celebrate spring or a bouquet for Mother’s Day. Supplies for Cardboard Tulip
- Recycled cardboard
- Paint
- Stick
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Tulip template
- Cricut (optional)
- Glitter (optional)
Directions
- First, download, print then cut out the free tulip template. See supplies to get the template. If you have a cutting machine like a Cricut, search for a tulip image then cut
- Next, use a pencil to trace the tulip template on the recycled cardboard then cut.
- Now it’s time to paint. Use any color for your tulip but we decided to use purple. You can add glitter to the paint before it dries but this step is optional.
- Peel back the top layer of the recycled cardboard to expose the corrugated texture. Cut a leaf shape from the corrugated cardboard piece.
- Use a paintbrush to paint the stick and leaf green then set it aside to dry.
- Finally, use a hot glue gun to attach the tulip and leaf to the stick.
