ROCKING PAPER PLATE PIRATE BOAT CRAFT

Supplies: 
  • paper plate
  • brown paint
  • paintbrush
  • cardstock paper  (black, yellow and white)
  • craft stick
  • glue
  • scissors
  • skull paper punch (optional)
Directions:
  1. Start by painting the outside of the paper plate brown.
  2. While the paper plate is drying, cut out a rectangle from the yellow cardstock paper.
  3. Next, cut 3 small circles and one flag out of the black cardstock paper.
  4. Glue the three windows (circles) on the yellow rectangle.
  5. Cut out the pirate skull yourself (templates found online) or use a skull paper punch.
  6. Glue the skull on the flag then attach the flag to the craft stick.
  7. Bend the paper plate in half with the painted side on the outside.
  8. Glue the yellow rectangle at the top of the paper plate.
  9. Glue the stick with the pirate flag at the back of the yellow rectangle.
  10. Finally, rock and enjoy your pirate ship.

CLOTHESPIN PIRATE SHIP CRAFT

Supplies:
  • wooden clothespin
  • craft stick
  • glue
  • scissors
  • cardstock (red, black, blue, white)
  • large skull paper punch (optional)
Directions:
  1. Cut a triangle out of the red, black or blue cardstock to make the pirate flag.
  2. Cut a skull and crossbones from the white cardstock or use a large skull paper punch.
  3. Glue the skull and crossbones to the triangle to complete your pirate flag.
  4. Glue pirate flag to the top of the craft stick.
  5. Lastly, pinch the craft stick in between the clothespin.

PIRATE SHIP CRAFT

Supplies:
  • paper straw
  • cardstock (brown, red, black, white, blue)
  • glue
  • clear tape
  • scissors
  • large skull paper punch (optional)
Directions:
  1. Draw your pirate ship or print out a template then cut it out.
  2. Cut 3 small circles from black cardstock for the portholes.
  3. Glue the circles to the pirate ship.
  4. Cut a large flag from the red cardstock and tape to straw.
  5. Cut a skull and crossbones from the white cardstock or use a large skull paper punch.
  6. Glue the skull and crossbones to the red flag.
  7. Tape the straw flag to the pirate ship.
  8. Tape the completed pirate ship to the blue cardstock.
  9. Finally, cut out two clouds from the white cardstock. Glue to the top of the blue paper. This pirate ship craft is now ready to be displayed.
