5 Amazing Things to Do to Celebrate Father’s Day

Father’s Day will be here before you know it. Start planning some fun and engaging activities to celebrate the important men in your life. They deserve to be treated extra special on that day and all year long. I’ve created a list of 5 amazing things to do to celebrate Father’s Day as a family. You will find a variety of activities for dads with different interests.

Go on a Food Tour

If dad is a foodie, taking him on a food tour to local restaurants will be a lot of fun. My husband loves to try new food spots. This will definitely be our plan to celebrate Father’s Day. It’s a great way to explore your city and find new places to eat. Check to see if your town has any food tours available like Tampa Bay Food Tours. If not, create your own guide with places dad always wanted to try but never had the chance. This is such a great way to spend quality time with the special guy in your life.

Host a Family Competition

My family LOVES to compete! We’re always playing board games, sports and silly activities that keep us entertained. If you want to create a memorable day for dad, come up with a variety of games to compete as a family. Minute-to-win games are so popular online. You can also set up an obstacle course that will get everyone moving. Check out my Pinterest board for some ideas.

Have Fun on the Water

Take dad on a kayaking, paddle boarding or canoeing trip. If you’re in Tampa Bay, there’s so many great locations for water adventures. You can also go on boat tours, fishing expeditions or ride jet skis to celebrate Father’s Day on the water.

Try Axe Throwing

Axe throwing may sound extreme but it will definitely be an experience dad will talk about for a long time. This is a great activity if you have older children or as a gift for dad to go out with his friends. I asked my husband if he would be interested and the answer was YES. If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, check out the businesses below:

Go Camping

Father’s Day is a great time to have a camping experience. You can set up something in the backyard or visit a campsite in the woods or beach. Make some sweet treats and delicious meals with dad.
