Mother’s Day DIY Photo Cube

  1. First, paint the wood block any color then set it aside to dry.
  2. Next, measure each photo so they are about half an inch smaller than each side of the block. Once you are finished measuring the pictures, use a scissor to cut them. Small children may need help with this step. Make sure they are using safety scissors.
  3. Coat the back of each photo with a thin layer of Mod Podge then press onto the wood block.
  4. Finally, apply another coat over the images then set it aside so it can dry.

DIY I Love You Footprint Mug

  1. First, add a few drops of non-toxic paint on a paper plate.
  2. Next, dip the foam brush in the paint then evenly coat your baby’s foot with it.
  3. Place their foot on the mug to form one half of a heart. If you make a mistake, use rubbing alcohol to clean it. Hold it there for a few seconds. Remove foot then clean it off with wipes or wet washcloth. You will need some extra help with this step.
  4. Apply a coat of paint to the other foot then place on the mug to form the other half of the heart. Hold it there for a few seconds. Remove foot then clean it.
  5. Let the mug air dry for at least two hours.
  6. Use the oil-based Sharpie to write “I” on the left side of the heart and “U” on the other side of the heart.
  7. Place the mug in a cool oven, set the temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 30 min. This will cure the paint as well as the Sharpie.
  8. Once it’s done baking, let it cool in the oven for a few hours.
  9. Finally, apply several light coats of acrylic sealer to the mug then allow it to dry. You should only hand wash this Mother’s Day mug.

DIY Craft Stick Earring Holder

  1. First, paint all or only a few craft sticks using the paint brush and acrylic paint. Allow it to dry. You can also use colored craft sticks like the ones I purchased from Target.
  2. Next, glue 4 or 5 crafts sticks horizontally between two other vertical sticks.
  3. Finally, form a triangle on each side of the “grid” with two other craft sticks. Use hot glue or e6000 glue to attach the craft sticks together. Allow it to dry before hanging your earrings.

Mother’s Day Cotton Ball Heart Painting Craft

  1. First, download and print the heart template.
  2. Next, cut the heart template then use tape to stick the heart in the center of the canvas panel.
  3. Pour each paint color on the paper plate.
  4. Stick one cotton ball on the end of each clothespin. Dip each clothespin/cotton combo into a paint color.
  5. Start adding dots of paint all over the canvas.
  6. Finally, remove the heart from the canvas panel and allow it to dry.
