This awesome shark play dough sensory tray is a great activity for preschoolers and older children. My 5-year-old had a great time creating a home for his sharks. We love using play dough because it’s an engaging material that can be used to create different things. Kids can use their imagination with this activity to make a shark, shark tooth or ocean. They can also make fish or coral reefs. If you’re searching for a fun invitation to play, this shark play dough sensory tray is perfect.

What to Do for Awesome Shark Play Dough
Gather all the materials then take the kids outside to enjoy this sensory activity. Unfortunately, we stayed inside due to the weather. Place the tray with the supplies on a table or on the ground. Now the fun begins! Let your child use their imagination to create anything they want. My 5-year-old started by making an ocean inside of the tray. He then placed the shark in between the play dough so they could “swim” around. Next, he decided the sharks needed more room to explore the ocean. He placed the play dough on the table then added the sharks. The shells were added to make prints as well as the glass gems. He played with his play dough sensory tray for a long time and shared a story about his sharks. I love his creativity and wild imagination.
