Shark week may be over but I had to share this fun activity I set up for my toddler and 6 year old. I’m always trying to find creative ways to get my kids interested in learning. It was easy to set up these colorful shark math activities using the toys I purchased from Target. They were actually in a Valentine’s Day set that I got on clearance. Always check the clearance section after holidays. You can always find ways to use those small toys. View all the details below!

Supplies for Colorful Shark Math Activities

I placed the bowls on our sensory table and let my toddler sort the colors. We also counted together as he placed each shark into the correct bowl. My oldest thought it would be fun to create patterns with the sharks. You can also use the sharks to practice addition and subtraction. Since my 6 year old is familiar with number bonds, we used the sharks for that math activity.
Here’s some books that you can read to your kids after completing the colorful shark math activities.
