St. Patrick's Day Crafts at Fox 13 News studio

St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th! Another fun holiday that is perfect for crafting with the kids. I love getting ideas from Pinterest and other blogs to create fun projects with my boys. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to share some easy DIY St. Patrick’s Day crafts with the viewers of GOOD DAY TAMPA BAY on Fox 13 News. It’s always a pleasure working with Laura Moody.

I demonstrated how to create three easy DIY St. Patrick’s Day crafts using items that you may have at home or can be purchased at your local craft store. Visit the website to see the segment.
If you enjoyed the segment and would like to make these St. Patrick’s Day crafts, here’s the tutorials for each project seen on Good Day Tampa Bay.

I found this adorable shirt by U Create Crafts and had to recreate it.
  • 3 different bottles of green acrylic/fabric paint
  • White cotton t-shirt
  • Vinyl stencil or freezer paper with shamrock shape cut out
  • Paper plate
  • Pencils with new erasers or q-tips
  • Cricut (optional)
  1. Put your stencil on the front of the t-shirt. If you’re using a vinyl stencil, make sure it sticks really well to the shirt. If you’re using the freezer paper method, iron the freezer paper where you want it on the shirt. IMPORTANT: slip a piece of cardboard inside the shirt so the paint won’t bleed to the back of the shirt.
  2. Squirt the different paints on the plate.
  3. Dip the eraser in the paint, then stamp the it randomly inside the stencil on the shirt. Use a different pencil eraser for each paint color.
  4. Once the paint is completely dry, remove the stencil.

  • Thin cardboard (cereal box)
  • Green paint
  • Green pom poms
  • Craft glue
  • Photo of your child
  • Foam brush
  • Scissors
  • Four-leaf clover template
  • Glitter (green or gold)
  • Magnet
  1. Trace the four-leaf clover template onto the thin cardboard and cut it out.
  2. Paint the four-leaf clover using the green paint then let it dry completely.
  3. Cut out the picture of your child and use to attach it to the center of the four-leaf clover.
  4. Add dabs of glue around the clover then sprinkle the glitter over it.
  5. Add a dab of glue and then a pom pom on top of it. Hold it in place for a few seconds.
  6. Repeat all around the four-leaf clover and stem until you’re satisfied.
  7. Attach magnet to the back of the four-leaf clover.
