I was looking for a fun Earth Day craft for my toddler and came across this adorable bubble wrap stamp art by My Mommy Style. I love using recycled materials to create crafts for my children. It’s always a win for me when I don’t have to spend money to complete an art project. This art project is a great way to help toddlers with their fine motor skills. My little one enjoyed painting with the cardboard tube and trying to pop the bubble wrap. Be prepared for a messy experience but it’s worth it. Follow the directions below for this easy and fun bubble wrap stamp art for kids using a cardboard tube.
Supplies:
Recycled toilet paper roll
Rubber band
Recycled bubble wrap
Paint (variety of colors: we chose green and blue for Earth Day)
Paper plate or small piece of cardboard
Cardstock or construction paper
Directions:
Start by placing an old shirt or smock over your child’s clothes. If your child is older, they may not get paint all over their clothes so skip this step.
Cut a small square of bubble wrap and place it over the recycled toilet paper roll.
Next, use the rubber band to secure the bubble wrap on the recycled toilet paper roll.
Add different paint colors to the paper plate. If you don’t have a paper plate, use a small piece of cardboard.
Finally, dip the bubble wrap covered toilet paper roll in the paint. Stamp the paint on the construction paper or cardstock to complete this art project.
I recommend keeping some wipes or a wet washcloth nearby if you are making this bubble wrap stamp art craft with young toddlers. My son had paint all over his hands and the smock. It was a bit messy but he had fun creating this bubble wrap stamp art. Hang it up to dry when your child is finished with this activity.
