It’s officially spooky season! Whether you’re a fan of eating the sweet treat or just love the classic fall colors, this textured candy corn craft is a must-try. What makes this project extra special is its flexibility. It’s tailored so families can easily collaborate on this project. Younger children can tear up the fiber trays while older kids can blend the pulp and paint. Parents can outline the candy corn template on the cardboard pieces. To make getting started easier, there is a free printable candy corn template to help with your design. Let’s get started!

Supplies for Textured Candy Corn Craft
- Candy corn template
- Recycled cardboard
- Paint (black, yellow, white & orange)
- Recycled pulp fiber drink carrier
- White liquid glue
- Scissors
- Foam brush
- Pencil
- Cardstock
- Bowls
- Tweezers
- Craft sticks
- Blender

Directions
- First, tear the pulp fiber drink carrier into small pieces then place them in a blender with water. Pulse until it reaches a thick, soft consistency.
- Next, pour the mixture into a fine-mesh strainer and press out excess water to create a workable paper pulp.
- Separate the pulp evenly into three small bowls or cups. Add white liquid glue and paint (yellow to one, orange to another, and white to the last one) to each bowl, stirring until fully mixed together. Set it aside.
- Now it’s time to cut a medium or large rectangle from a piece of recycled cardboard and paint the surface entirely black. Let it dry.
- Download and print the candy corn template. Trace the outline onto your black cardboard base using a pencil.
- Finally, use tweezers to carefully place and press the colored pulp into the candy corn sections (white at the top, orange in the middle, yellow a the bottom) until completely covered. Once it completely dries, you can display your textured candy corn artwork.
