Cheap DIY Shamrock Wreath for St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up soon! I’m sharing a last minute project that you can use to decorate your home, office or classroom. No need to spend a lot of money on decor that will only be up for a short period of time. This easy and cheap shamrock wreath will cost less than $5 to make. Make to stop by your local store that sell St. Patrick’s Day craft items. Use a coupon if you are getting supplies from your local craft store. Hope you enjoy making this cheap DIY shamrock wreath to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  Follow the steps below to complete this easy art project.

Supplies:
  • Foam shamrocks or cardboard shamrocks
  • Hot glue gun with glue sticks or craft glue
  • Paper plate
  • Scissors
  • St. Patrick’s Day decorative ribbon (I chose a shamrock ribbon for this project)

Directions:
  1. Start by laying the foam shamrocks in a circular pattern so you can get an idea of how you want to glue the pieces on.
  2. Next, use the scissors to cut out the center of your paper plate to form your wreath.
  3. Use the hot glue gun or regular craft glue to attach the foam shamrocks on the paper plate based on the pattern you made in step 1.
  4. Finally, cut a length of ribbon for hanging. Loop your ribbon through the wreath and tie it to hang.  Your easy and cheap DIY shamrock wreath is ready to be displayed for St. Patrick’s Day.
