paper bag Easter egg craft for kids

Easter is almost here! I feel like the holiday came quickly this year. We had so much fun making the paper bag shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day that I decided we should try something similar for Easter. I love that this craft is simple and kids can be really creative. Check out all the details below to make this paper bag Easter egg craft.

Supplies for Paper Bag Easter Egg

Directions

  1. First, you will have to download, print and cut the Easter egg template. You can also draw your own egg if you prefer.
  2. Next, trace two copies of the Easter egg on the brown paper bag.
  3. Cut out your paper bag Easter egg. If you have small children, make sure they are using safety scissors.
  4. Paint one of the paper bag Easter eggs. This will be the front side of your craft. You can add glitter but that’s optional.
  5. Staple the sides of the paper bag egg. Work your way around the edge, stapling a half inch apart. Leave some space at the top and possibly the sides.
  6. Finally, stuff your paper bag egg with fiber fill then staple it until it’s completely sealed. If you are not a fan of using a stapler for this project, use a hole punch and yarn instead. You could also use double-sided tape.
