Supplies for Shark Art Project

Directions

  1. Start by gathering all your supplies for this art project. It makes crafting with kids less stressful when you don’t have to leave often to get each supply.
  2. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to create the shark. If you don’t have a cutting machine, download, print and cut this shark template. You can also select option 2 or option 3 for this shark painting.
  3. Once your shark is cut from the Cricut, remove then set aside.
  4. Next, get painting! Let your kids have fun with this shark art project. Add different shades of blue paint to a paper plate or plastic paint palette. Use a paintbrush to paint the white cardstock. Add glitter then set aside to dry.
  5. Finally, glue your shark to the painted cardstock. Now it’s time to show off your artwork!

My preschooler had so much fun painting. It was so nice watching him get creative and work without my help. We discussed the different shades of blue and sharks. If your child is not ready to use a paintbrush, finger painting is great too. Keep it mess free by placing the cardstock in a resealable bag then add paint. Your child can rub the outside of the resealable bag to paint the cardstock.
